Partner Real Estate, brokered by LPT Realty, announced during LPT FallCon 2026 that its agents now have access to Zillow Preview℠. This adds a public pre-market marketing option for eligible listings, helping sellers build interest before their homes become active and helping buyers discover upcoming opportunities.
For clients across the San Gabriel Valley, Greater Los Angeles, Irvine, and Orange County, the value is practical: more time to prepare, earlier conversations, and a listing strategy informed by buyer response.
What Is Zillow Preview?
Zillow Preview allows agents at participating brokerages to publicly promote upcoming listings during an eligible pre-market window. Buyers can discover properties before they become fully active, express interest, and prepare for next steps.
Zillow introduced Preview in March 2026 to broaden access to pre-market inventory. Its purpose is public visibility: buyers do not need to work with the listing brokerage simply to discover the home.
Benefits for Partner Real Estate Sellers
Build awareness while preparing the home
Preparing a property can involve repairs, staging, photography, and moving arrangements. Preview can help make that preparation period productive by introducing the home to buyers before the full launch.
Zillow describes prioritized search placement during Preview, giving upcoming listings an opportunity to attract attention sooner.
Use buyer response to refine the launch
Agents can review views, saves, shares, and tour requests to understand how shoppers are responding. That feedback can inform conversations about pricing, photos, and marketing.
For a seller, this means having additional information before the active listing period begins. These signals support an agent’s market analysis; they do not guarantee a particular price or replace comparable sales.
Prepare for showings with interest already established
Interested buyers can save the listing, ask questions, and request future tours. The seller and agent can use that lead time to prepare for the launch with an audience already aware of the property.
Benefits for Homebuyers
Discover upcoming homes earlier
Preview gives buyers an earlier look at properties that may fit their needs. That can be especially useful when they are searching within a specific neighborhood, school area, property type, or price range.
Buyers can save a home, contact the listing agent, and pre-book a tour for when it is ready for showings. They can also use the lead time to discuss the property with their buyer’s agent and arrange mortgage pre-approval.
Keep working with the agent they trust
Public visibility means buyers can discover Preview homes regardless of their brokerage relationship. Finding a home does not require switching to the listing brokerage.
Understand the showing timeline
Preview provides early discovery, while actual showings remain subject to the listing’s status and local rules. Advance tour requests should be understood as scheduling for the permitted showing period.
Benefits for Real Estate Agents at Partner Real Estate
A stronger listing presentation
Access gives Partner Real Estate agents another option to discuss with prospective sellers: an early marketing period that can build awareness and produce useful demand signals.
Agents can explain how pre-market promotion fits the seller’s preparation schedule, pricing strategy, and eventual active launch. The tool’s value comes from using it thoughtfully for the property and the client.
Direct conversations with interested buyers
Buyers who select “Contact Listing Agent” connect directly with the listing agent. Zillow describes these direct connections as free.
Tour requests follow a different route: Zillow’s buyer-agent network, or the buyer’s existing Zillow partner agent when applicable. Therefore, agents should distinguish direct listing inquiries from tour-request connections when planning follow-up.
Potential additional income
Zillow Preview offers conditional revenue participation when a qualifying buyer connection results in a completed purchase through the applicable partner-agent program.
Zillow has publicly described a listing-agent payment equal to 10% of the buyer agent’s commission. The participating brokerage’s signed agreement controls the percentage and eligibility. Payments are settled through the brokerage; Zillow says the arrangement does not add costs for consumers or agents.
This creates a possible additional income opportunity alongside the agent’s listing business. It is not an automatic payment for every inquiry.
Continuity into the active listing
Zillow’s agent guide explains that links, buyer inquiries, scheduled tours, and engagement carry forward when the home transitions to the standard active listing experience. The MLS-sourced listing then becomes primary, and Preview features end.
For eligible Showcase customers, this is also the point when the listing can convert to Zillow Showcase.
Public Reach Continues to Expand
Zillow Preview originally launched on Zillow and Trulia, with participating brokerage and agent websites also permitted. On September 17, 2026, Zillow and Realtor.com announced that Preview listings were live on both platforms.
The expansion includes enhanced search visibility and alerts. Additional destination availability for an individual brokerage depends on its participation and authorizations.
Responsible Use in Southern California
Partner Real Estate’s access operates within local MLS requirements. For listings governed by CRMLS, Coming Soon generally permits up to 21 days before activation, with an exception for new construction. Showings and open houses are prohibited during Coming Soon, although offers may be submitted and accepted.
Public marketing also triggers CRMLS’s requirement to enter the listing as Coming Soon or Active within one business day. Seller instructions, marketing labels, and distribution settings must align with the approved brokerage workflow.
The agent and seller should decide whether Preview fits the property, when showings can begin, and what information will be displayed. Earlier exposure is a marketing opportunity – not a promise of offers, faster sales, or a higher selling price.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is Zillow Preview free?
Zillow states that Preview pre-market marketing has no charge to the brokerage, agent, or consumer. Separately purchased services, such as photography or staging, may still carry costs.
