Jason Tan arrived in the United States from Vietnam as a refugee in 1986, realizing that he landed in a country where possibilities and opportunities are endless. In Vietnam, he developed a strong work ethic as he had to start working in a factory at the age of 13. With only a 2nd-grade level education, he went to Granada Hills High School as a 9th-grade student with English as a second language. He then transferred to Belmont High School and graduated in 1989. For two years, Jason attended Glendale Community college and then transferred to Cal State LA in 1991, graduating with the Class of 1995 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administrative Management. While at Cal State LA, he studied finance and economics. His professors taught him about taking calculated risks and leveraging other people’s money to make money.
After working eight years in Corporate America for companies such as Arco, Prudential Insurance, Signet Jewelers, MacMall, and Countrywide Home Loans, he decided to get his real estate license in 2003. While in the real estate business, Jason also worked for Metlife and Guardian. During the financial crisis of 2007 to 2012, he bought his first investment property in Victorville and managed his investment properties since then. Jason now owns multiple positive income-generating properties in the High Desert. He has helped numerous investors buy over 100 investment properties that generated hundreds of thousands of dollars of passive income and property appreciation. Jason currently resides in Rosemead and Apple Valley and continues helping investors buy investment properties that generate positive income. Besides holding a real estate license, he also has a California Life and Health license and a series 6 and series 63 security license.
